Additional Property Attributes

The City has selected this property and the surrounding properties as the most suitable location for the site of two new middle schools that the city plans to construct to replace its outdated and overpopulated existing middle school.

Former Use: Since the early twentieth century, the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad Company operated a railway at Lot 78. This railway remained at Lot 78 until approximately the 1980�s. The City of Woonsocket acquired the property from Consolidated Real Estate, LLC on May 12, 2004 in a transaction that also included the abutting Lot 81.
