Additional Property Attributes

The City of Millen would like to construct a parking area on a portion of the property for the local businesses in the area including the salon located at the subject site. A portion of the subject property was assessed because the owner may donate it to allow the City to construct the parking area. Note that no recognized environmental conditions were identified from on-site. The only concern would be petroleum ground water impacts from the adjacent SOC Station.

Former Use: The subject site contains a small salon that has operated at the site for 56 years. Prior to the construction of the salon the property was undeveloped land. RECs identified at the subject site include a dry cleaner located approximately 125 feet southwest and an adjacent gas station. The adjacent gas station is currently in the Brownfield program and has known petroleum impacted soil and ground water. Phase II activities were conducted on properties surrounding the subject site and minor soil and ground water impacts were identified.
