Additional Property Attributes

The former Hiram Elementary School was originally built in 1913 with additions added in the 1950's and 1970's. The building was purchased in 2004 from the Crestwood School District by Ferdinand S. Fojas and has been vacant since 2004. The local Hiram College is interested in purchasing the property to develop for college uses. Asbestos is thought to be the primary contaminant hindering redeveloped of the property. The intention is to demolish the building. The village of Hiram and Hiram College plan to work together to obtain funds to demo and redevelop the property.
