Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property is located in a mixed land use area that includes residential and commercial properties. The Subject Property is bounded by commercial and residential properties to the north, east, south, and west. The Subject Property is located in downtown Medina just south of the main square business district. The Subject Property consists of the main church structure and an adjacent one-story Food Pantry and Youth Center building. The exterior area of the Subject Property is primarily asphalt parking lots surrounding the buildings. A certified asbestos inspection documented the presence of asbestos throughout the building. There is also the possibility of adjacent off-property sources LUSTs impacting the subject property.

Former Use: The main church structure has been used for church services since its construction 1897. The original church structure was added onto in 1957 and once again in 1967 as the church operations began to expand. The Food Pantry and Youth Center have operated as various commercial businesses historically. The chain-of-ownership report lists Medina Methodist Church Corporation as purchasing the property in 1984, however the chain of title indicated the church has been owned by the Methodist Church Corporation and its trustees since 1945 when the records terminated.
