Additional Property Attributes

This property is included in the East Billings Urban Renewal District, which is the grantee, Big Sky Economic Development Authority's BSEDA, and the City of Billings' effort to proactively address economic stagnation issues in the area east and adjacent to Downtown Billings. In addition, the East Billings Urban Renewal District will help implement the recommendations in the 1997 Downtown Billings work Plan. Grantee has no other relationship with the owner, other than the property being situated within the District's footprint.

Former Use: The subject property is located near the western boundary of the East Downtown Billings Urban Renewal District. The building at 2024 3rd Avenue North is currently leased to Residential Support. It houses office space and personnel that service people with development disabilities.Reportedly, in the late 1940s to early 1950s, the property housed Petroleum Gas and Oil Company, with use listed as a gasoline service station and potential chemicals of concern from this use identified as petroleum. In the late 1950s, it was occupied by Henrickson HH and Sons with use listed as an oil company and potential chemicals of concern identified as petroleum. In the early 1960s to mid 1970s, it was occupied by Mobil Oil Company with use listed as oil distribution and potential chemicals of concern from this use identified as petroleum. In the late 1970s, the property housed J and S New and Used Shop with use listed as auto repair and potential chemicals of concern identified as petroleum, metals, volatile organic compounds, and semi-volatile organic compounds.
