Additional Property Attributes

Property was part of a former industrial foundry and most recently was a former furniture warehouse near the Kishwaukee River. Planned land use is mixed commercial/residential. Phase II activities include: QAPP, enrollment into Site Remediation Program, Sampling and Analysis Plan, site investigation, Comprehensive Site Investigation and Remedial ives Report, IEPA discussions and tier 2 soil and groundwater modeling with surface water receptor evaluation. Cleanup Planning includes: Remedial Action Plan and discussions with City and IEPA. Site is recently being reused for storage of municipal equipment.

Former Use: Property was part of a former industrial foundry and most recently was a former furniture warehouse for Leath Furniture. City purchased the property after proper due diligence.
