Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: This property has always been owned by and under control of Custer County. The property is home to the Courthouse, the Jail and Emergency Operations Center. There is a portion of the Senior Center on the property. Custer County recently passed a bond to destroy their 1800's built jail which had been shut down in late fall of 2011. Various safety violations and the fact that it was not up to current safety code due to it's aging condition necessitated that the old jail come down, and some major remodeling of the existing/remaining buildings on the property will occur. The jail and detention facility will be rebuilt.
