Additional Property Attributes

Planned affordable housing mixed-use project for veteran populations (https://homesforgood.org/about/real-estate-development/projects/market-district-commons). The Property is owned by Lane County and is comprised of one tax lot (17-03-31-11-01400). The 0.38-acre Property was in use as a daycare during the Phase I ESA site visit in August 2018. The property was in residential use as early as 1888. By 1938, the property was a bus garage/repair facility. The site continued in that use until the early 1980s. From the early 1980s to the present the main site building has housed a child development center and the smaller building to the west has been used as office space. Historical records show that two underground storage tanks (USTs) utilized for fuel storage were removed from the site in 1987, though no other documentation was found that describes the tank removal or decommissioning. Historical operations at the Property have included a bus repair garage. A limited Phase II ESA was conducted on the Property in 2014. The Phase II ESA report indicates that soil and groundwater on the Property have been impacted by petroleum releases from these historical operations. The releases identified at the Property represent a REC and a VEC for the Property. A contaminated media management plan (CMMP) has been prepared.
