Additional Property Attributes

The subject property is a 0.543-acre parcel (TMS #0171001400500) occupied by the Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina Inc., which operates a receiving center and thrift store for secondhand goods. The property is in an area of inter-mixed commercial, light industrial, and residential use along the Poinsett Highway in the Brutontown Community. The Poinsett Highway is a multi-lane road with commercial development and high traffic volumes on the north side of the City of Greenville. The property (~1/2 acre) as well as 2 parcels behind it (11 acres) were acquired by Greenco, a beverage distributor, in 2016. With a $12M investment, Greenco redeveloped the property as an administrative office and a 120,000 sq ft distribution center. The ribbon cutting was on March 7, 2017. Most of the jobs transferred from his other facility; however, they have added about 10 jobs since opening. Also, Mr. Russell Farr, makes it a practice to hire within the community, and people living in Brutontown make excellent employees. He report a 50% drop in crime in the community since opening 3 1/2 years ago.
