Former Use: The subject property consists of a 2.53-acre parcel of vacant land. The majority of the subject property currently consists of concrete parking areas and building foundations. The north portion consists of undeveloped land covered with trees, brush, and grass. The south-central portion consists of brush. Historical fire insurance maps indicate that the subject property was occupied by International Cotton Seed Oil Company Cotton Seed Oil Mill in 1898, International Cotton Seed Oil Company Cotton Seed Oil Mill and Ice Facility in 1903, Selma Oil, Ice, & Fertilizer Company International Mill from at least 1907 to at least 1913, and Selma Creamery & Ice Company in 1925. Historical fire insurance maps, aerial photographs, city directories, and property records indicate that the subject property was occupied by Selma Manufacturing Company (cotton bag manufacturers) from at least 1925 to at least 1949, Ames Bag Company (cotton bag manufacturers) from at least 1949 to at least 1963, Stewart King & McKenzie (wholesale grocers) from at least 1967 to at least 1992, and Kelly�s Food Concepts Alabama Grocers from at least 2001 to at least 2010. The onsite buildings were removed between 2013 and 2014.
