Additional Property Attributes

Vacant former restaurant planned for redevelopment as new restaurant/bar in downtown Salem. Potential heating oil UST identified during Ph I ESA site visit. Subsequent geophysical (6/2018 Ph II ESA) confirmed likely presence of UST. EPA/DEQ has approved the SAP for assessment of UST. State Historic Preservation Officer required archaeological survey due to site's location in historic Chinatown district of Salem. The Fork Forty Food Hall is set to open fall 2019 and will be the first restaurant of its kind in Salem. Comprising the first floor of the newly and comprehensively renovated 139-year-old building, the 4,500 square foot food hall will feature seven Pacific Northwest vendors/chefs. Additionally, the bottom floor of the building will feature entertainment options while the second floor will be comprised of three studio apartments and two Airbnb spaces. The new dining, entertainment, and residential options as well as new jobs will be a welcomed addition to Salems downtown especially as the building was most recently vacant.

Former Use: Prospective purchaser at time of Ph I ESA now owns property and is beginning renovations.
