Additional Property Attributes

The Boomer Lake Power Station had a diesel spill in the past and submitted sample results for three soil borings to DEQ in 1997. All samples came back below practical quantitation limits. DEQ issued a no further action letter for the diesel spill, since the borings did not show evidence of diesel. No cleanup took place since nothing was found in the soil.

Former Use: The property was formerly a power generation facility for the City of Stillwater. The site includes a shop area, power plant, water pumps, emergency generators, and storage buildings.

Redevelopment Plans: The City of Stillwater has approved $6 million in development financing for the proposed adaptive reuse of Boomer Lake Station. Lakeview Landing LLC is the developer for the project and plans to incorporate surrounding tracts of land into the commercial and residential development. The project will be done in four phases and is expected to eventually total more than $35 million in investment. A greenspace will be incorporated into the development as well as townhouses and commerical development.
