Additional Property Attributes

The owner has renovated the three story building and converted the space into a brewery on the first floor, office space on the second floor, and a multipurpose event space on the third floor.

Former Use: By 1887, the Property was used as a lumber yard. Lumber yard operations ceased by 1892, and the current building was constructed on the Property in 1902/1903 for use by the Record Printing and Box Company. The building was occupied by a harness factory from at least 1907 through 1913. Alsteel Manufacturing Co., a letter boxes and paper baler manufacturer and machine shop, occupied the Property from 1916 through at least 1950. Additional tenants during this time period included Wolverine Specialty Co, an auto accessories business, Michigan Pin & Tag Co., and Caviness Cabinet Co. By 1954, the building was listed as vacant. Between 1960 and at least 2000, the building was occupied by a typewriter/office furniture and/or supplies warehouse and an art supply store in 1995. The building has been vacant since 2004.
