Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The 129 North Superior Street parcel was developed in 1880 and the 131 North Superior Street parcel was developed in 1910 with the current buildings. The 129 North Superior Street building was used as an office and the 131 North Superior Street parcel was vacant from 1888 through at least 1907. The 129 North Superior Street building (1st floor and basement) was occupied with commercial tenants and the 131 North Superior Street building (1st floor and basement) was occupied with commercial or restaurant tenants from at 1913 until 1992. The 129.5 North Superior Street portion (second story of the building) was occupied by the IOOF from at least 1910 through 1967. The 129 North Superior Street building was occupied with a commercial tenant in 2010 and the 131 North Superior Street building was occupied with commercial tenants in 2000 and 2010. The buildings have been vacant since 2010.
Previous assessment results identified the presence of VOCs and mercury in soil at concentrations above EGLE Part 201 generic residential cleanup criteria.
