Additional Property Attributes

The Property is located in a mixed commercial/residential neighborhood on the northwest corner of Eastern Avenue and Railroad Street in downtown St. Johnsbury. The Property is developed with a single building, constructed circa 1896, that currently houses three condominiums (Units 1, 2, and 3). Unit 1 includes affordable residential apartments on the second, third and fourth floors of the building. Unit 2 consists of an unoccupied restaurant space on the first floor. Unit 3 consists of all other first floor commercial spaces (all currently unoccupied). The Property is proposed to undergo significant renovation by Housing Vermont to revitalize the residential spaces on the second, third, and fourth floors of the building. To accomplish the renovation, the existing structure must undergo major reconstruction which will disturb the building's systems, components, and finishes.

Former Use: Mixed use, commercial on floor 1 (all vacant) and rental housing on floors 2 through 4 for the past 25 years; hotel with mixed commercial uses for approximately 80 years prior.
