Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property consists of one tax parcel (13 0002LL0747) totaling 2.87 acres and is developed with an approximately 12,500 square foot fire station. Currently the building is not being utilized but its slated for renovations and reactivation as a city fire station. No RECs were identified as defined by ASTM15-21.

During interviews with the property owner (City of East Point), Fire Chief Thornton mentioned asbestos had been confirmed in the past. The possible presence for asbestos and lead paint in the structure was considered a business environmental risk, although not a REC. Subsequent sampling of building materials identified only asbestos in the caulk around aluminum framed doors and windows.

An asbestos abatement design was also created for the City to bid abatement activities prior to renovations.
