Additional Property Attributes

The portion of the property used most recently still has a former operations/warehouse structure. The area that was used for older operations and disposal of debris and cullet expands beyond this and encompasses more than one parcel. (PPF - Elite Glass, 5/5/06)

Former Use: The property was formerly operated by Elite Glass Company and its successors. The current owner's parents operated the property from 1953 to about 1965 (13 years at most) when they sold the business to Esquire, Inc. (part of Esquire Lighting Group) in December 1965. Esquire, doing business as E-list Company (incorporated as a Deleware Corporation) leased the property from the Levin's January 1, 1966 to January 22, 1997. Esquire (dba Elite glass) was still operating the property as late as May 29, 1997. At the time the Levins leased the property to Esquire, all direct involvement of the Levin family in operations at the property ceased. Esquire (E-Lite) and their successors operated the facility as glass manufacturing plant for approximately 32 years. In 1997 a consultant performed some limited environmental assessment activities on the property for Mr. Levin.
