Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property operated as a coal distribution and storage business from the 1940s through the 1970s when coal sales operations were abandoned. In addition, the subject property contained two fuel oil distribution center. An elevated trestle was located along the eastern portion of the subject property operated as a least 1881 until 1967 when the railroad line was abandoned. The subject property was vacated in the lated 1970s or early 1980s and now consists of a gravel access drive to the Manistique River and a recreational vehicle trail along the former railroad right-of-way. Remaining portions of the subject property consist of vacant land. The Manistique Lumber & Coal Company has owned the subject property since the 1940s.
