Additional Property Attributes

This typical d service station site is the home of Newbys Towing Service. The property is used as a staging area for the towing business and to perform automotive repairs. Past use as an automotive maintenance/repair shop and the onsite underground storage tanks supported the need to conduct the Phase II ESA on the property. The site is located at a high visibility junction in this East Austin. On April 19, 2011, TCEQ issued a No further action letter, after re-reviewing LPST data. New upscale condos were built across the street from this property that has added to its value. The site is pending TCEQ Priority 4, tank removal assistance within next 12-24 months.

Former Use: Commercial property was used for a gas station and auto maintenance/repair for the past 15 years. Currently used as a parking lot. (PPF-5/3/07)
