Additional Property Attributes

City high school abandoned when County high school was built. Private local developer has planned to turn this property into "Turning Leaf", an assisted living facility. Conceptual site plans and business plans have already been completed. Materials showcasing the redevelopmnet plans (postcards, presentation board) were prepared with grant funds to assist in finding the additional capital necessary to bring this redevelopment to Millen. Once additional capital is located, the redevelopment can begin. Some asbestos was identified in on-site buildings and will need to be managed (asbestos survey not conducted with grant funds); however, no environmental concerns were identified in the Phase I ESA.
