Planned reuse of the property is a vitamin manufacturing facilty estimated to bring 32 well paying jobs to Oak Creek. (PPF � Oak Creek, 10/23/06)

Former Use: The Oak Creek WTP property was used for approximately 21 years as a settling pond for media filter backwashing of the town's wastewater treatment plant. Oak Creek recently replaced its old wastewater treatment plant with a modern treatment plant. However, the backwash ponds that serviced the old treatment facility still remain on the property. The said ponds hold piles of alum sludge left over from former operations. The backwash ponds have been fenced off and are unused. Oak Creek would like to sell the property to a vitamin manufacturing company, but a Phase I environmental assessment needs to be conducted before sell can proceed. (PPF � Oak Creek WTP, 10/23/06)
