The subject project will be redeveloped as a library for the Town of Mancos. (PPF � Mancos Library, 10/23/06)

Former Use: From 1903 � 1943 the subject property was owned by the following: Mancos Electric and Light Company, Montezuma Electric Company, Mancos Electric Company, and Highland Utilities. It is assumed that the aforementioned companies may have used coal or diesel to generate electricity on the subject property. Empire Electric Association, Inc. purchased the property in 1943, but never used the property to generate electricity. The property has remained vacant since the time of purchase by Empire Electric. The property is currently being leased by the Town of Mancos, but is not being used. (PPF � Mancos Library, 10/23/06)
