Additional Property Attributes

The past uses of the Property included the use for fertilizer manufacturing and storage and as a furniture warehouse. Identified Areas include: Potential PCB transformers, a drainage swale, 2 areas of bare ground, former railway spurs, an adjacent property sulfur storage and C&D on-site disposal areas.

Former Use: The Waldock Property is located on the east side of downtown Sandusky approximately 1,000 feet south of Sandusky Bay. The Property was previously owned and operated as the Diamond Fertilizer Company from approximately 1950 to 1968. During the late 1960s and 1970s a small fiberglass boat manufacturing facility was present on the site. At the time of the Phase I ESA, the on-site building was used by Herman's Furniture and Design Center for storage. The current owner is BSL Holdings of Sandusky, Ohio who purchased the Property from Diamond Realty April 2006.
