Additional Property Attributes

The property will consist of a commercial builiding which is to be renovated into a two story art gallery. The building will also contain two rooms for teaching art classes and will have another room for a wine and cheese shop. Outside there will be a sculpture garden and garden area with picnic tables. There is a small structure with a concrete floor which will be used for open air performances near the picnic tables. Four grain silos will be utilized by artists, and one of the silos will be for an artist in residence.

Former Use: The subject property was formerly used by Powell Oil Mill Company, Smithville Oil Mill Company, and Bastrop Feed Company as a storage and processing facility for cotton seed and other grains. The subject property is currently used as leased commercial space for automotive repair and a bail bond business, as well as work and storage space for the present owner. Improvements on the subject property include a pole barn, grain elevator and barn, four grain silos, an automotive bay, an office space, and storage container, and an above ground storage tank.
