Additional Property Attributes

The property is currently owned by Warren Salvage & Storage, LLC and was purchased from Warren County in 2016. The Subject Property consists of approximately 27.97 acres and is developed with an approximately 180,000 square foot former textile manufacturing facility, wood and metal former cotton storage warehouse, brick former office building, a two-story brick former boiler and machine shop building, a garage, a residential dwelling, asphalt parking lots and associated gravel driveways. A former pond drained sometime between 2013 and 2016. Phase II testing was conducted in May 2013 using TBA Grant, sampling identified: ACM and LBP in building materials; metals in drinking water; PAHs and metals in soil; metals and PAHs in sediment; metals in drummed soil waste; and PAHs and metals in the black granular material beneath flooring within the plant building. The Phase II sampling failed to assess a waste house and oil house identified at the property via historical fire insurance maps, and east adjacent former service station. The site was constructed around 1910 as a carding and spinning mill which operated until 2001, the site was owned by the County from 2010 through 2016, and is currently used for warehouse storage. Areas of the main manufacturing facility have been renovated.
