Additional Property Attributes

The BTA was conducted for the City to evaluate environmental uncertainties associated with potential petroleum contamination. The corridor is a "Right-of-Way" corridor that the City is targeting for reuse as a walking/biking path. RECs were identified as: two adjacent KDHE identified Sites Hubbard site and KT Partnership. However, based on the KDHE Identified Sites list and the Phase I report, the Hubbard Site and KT Partnership received "No Further Action" letters through KDHE's Voluntary Cleanup Program. Contamination identified at these properties was from the Raytheon Slavage Yard site, which is being actively monitored through the State Cooperative Program. Impacts related to the Raytheon Savage Yard will be monitored and addressed through the State Cooperative Program. The current status of the aforesaid facilities and overall reuse ives of the BTA property do not justify a Phase II at this time. No further assessment is being recommended at this time.

Former Use: The property was used as a right-of-way as early as 1894.
