Additional Property Attributes

This ESA was performed shortly after the Yurok Tribe Economic Development Corporation purchased the property. Prior to the ESA, homeless camps were removed and cleaned. Staff who prepared the ESA found no indications of recognized environmental conditions or any historical recognized environmental conditions in connection with the property. The property was renovated and reopened to the public as a RV campground: Redwood RV Park.

Former Use: The Subject Property is currently used as a seasonal recreational vehicle park that can accommodate up to 25 recreational vehicles with three structures on the Site. It borders the Klamath River and is on FEMA flood plain. Two structures are single wide trailers that serve as the park managers quarters and offices. There is a small wood shed that is adjacent to the second mobile home. The third structure has separate shower and restroom facilities for ladies and men with two stalls and two showers each. The property and adjacent lands were washed out in the 1964 floods and the adjacent lands although formally developed lands, remain vacant. Possibly three different gas stations were on adjacent properties. There is evidence of flood debris on the property boundaries that border the Klamath Rr. Previous private owner was Harvey A. Smith.
