Additional Property Attributes

The Property is currently undeveloped forested land but with several surface water diversions for small community domestic and irrigation systems within its parcel boundaries that supply domestic and drinking water for Tribal Members. Phase II included only soil sampling however, on site ponding and seasonal surface water on site may transport contaminants into larger waterways and or groundwater.

Former Use: The Property is currently undeveloped forested land with second or third cohort timber regrowing from use as industrial, commercial timber/lumber practices that included clear cutting and extensive use of pesticides. It was bought by the Yurok Tribe and the mortgage is held by Western Rivers Concervancy. It is part of the planned Yurok Forest Reserve and being developed as part of the Tribe's carbon credit project. Along the boundaries are areas assigned to Tribal Members for their residences.
