Additional Property Attributes

The subject property was identified as a nuisance property in the Mitchell's Historic Downtown District. The City of Mitchell has current ownership of the building, and is working with the State Historic Preservation Office on restoration of the structure. The building is currently a multi-story structure that was designed for retail & commercial business on the first floor, and professional offices on floors two through four. The size, architecture, and history of this building contributes to the story of Mitchell's culture and economy. City officials and leaders support the restoration and rehabilitation of this building. Future redevelopment for the property is an exciting option. The community has been included on discussions about the current condition and location of the building, and there is support for the restoration project.
