The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) conducted Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) at Parcels 135794 and 135795 as well as several other parcels along the WICHITA PETROLEUM GRANT 9TH ST. CORRIDOR. Results of the Phase I ESA identified a Petroleum Recognized Environmental Condition (REC) as the presence of the fueling islands on the Site indicates that Underground Storage Tanks (USTs ) or Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs) were formerly on the property; however there were no indications of the location of these USTs or ASTs during the site visit. A Phase II ESA was recommended. Based on data collected during the Phase II investigation, no significant environmental impacts were identified, therefore, no additional environmental response is necessary.

Former Use: The Site has been used for commercial purposes since 1964.
