Additional Property Attributes

See Completed Phase 1 ESA, initial Phase II was completed in a limited fashion, additional sampling is needed and an investigation of the buildings is necessary. The bulk of the contamination found to date is Crude Oil from the sites former use from the Portland Pipeline Corp. which pumped the crude from a port in Portland Maine to Canada for refinery. The industrial side of the property hasn't been used since it's sale by the pipeline company but there are tenants living in the eight single family homes on residential side of the property.

Former Use: The property was formerly owned by Thomas Harris who purchased from the Portland Pipeline company and operated a crude oil pump house on the site, plus eight single-family homes for workers in the 1940's. The property was purchased as an income property and the homes were and are still rented out. The Pump house portion of the site was left idle and most of the equipment is now gone. The site still maintains a right-of-way where the Portland Pipeline still has pipes crossing the property.
