Institutional and Engineering Controls

No Phase II was conducted, since potential RECs were limited to groundwater. No uses of shallow groundwater are projected at the site. The site is served by municipal water supply. Institutional controls are not believed to be required.

Additional Property Attributes

This parcel is one of a group of parcels associated with the construction of a new temporary housing shelter for women. Groundbreaking for the facility was August 3, 2011 and construction was completed in April 2012. The facility was constructed with a 3.5 million grant from a private foundation. Matching contributions of 700,000 were also received from various sources to help maintain the facility. The City of Pine Bluff pledged a total of 150,000 toward the match contribtuion and contributed land toward the development. The shelter can house up to 60 women and children as a refuge from domestic violence.

Former Use: The site has historically been used as residential property. However, some commercial and industrial uses were noted within specific radii and down gradient of the site.
