Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Reasonably ascertainable records reviewed as part of this Phase I ESA documented the use of the property back to 1886. Data failure occurred between 1891 and 1951, between 1956 and 1969, and between 1969 and 1976. The subject property was reportedly used for surface and strip mining in at least the 1950s and 1960s (based on historical sources and an interview with Ms. Tonia Brookman, Executive Director of the Woodland Community Land Trust). PM attempted to obtain regulatory information, however, no files were made available. Additional correspondence with the Office of Surface Mining in Knoxville, Tennessee also indicated that there are no records available for the former mining operations for the subject property.
